Highland Dancing...
in all its competitive forms, is a very technical dance form, requiring many hours of practice and training over a period of several years in order to perfect. Demonstrations are steeped in tradition and may range from Scottish country dancing,  Highland dancing, the Fling to Irish dance with its intricate footwork, the Reel, the Jig and more modern styles such as “River-dance”. Dances may be performed solo as well as by a troupe.
