You are in our thoughts and prayers.
The city of Hamilton, MT was founded in 1890 by an
Irish immigrant and copper magnate, Marcus Daly. He came to the valley and founded the Stock
farm, a 22,000 acre ranch dedicated to his hobby of breeding and racing
thoroughbred horses. He invited a
longtime Scottish friend, James Hamilton, to plan a city full of wide streets
and economic stability for the surrounding farms and ranches.
On any given weekend you could find the two
friends and their families celebrating their accomplishment with beoir, dancing and games on the lawn of the
Daly Mansion.
